Eddie Lee Rhoades

Eddie Lee Rhoades, age 71 of Paducah, Kentucky formerly of Metropolis, Illinois passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Memorial services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Joppa Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. David Wright officiating.

Eddie was born of September 13, 1948 to Oscar S. Rhoades and Helen M. (Wright) Rhoades in Chicago, Illinois.

Mr. Rhoades is survived by one daughter, Christina Rhoades and fiancé Daniel Adkins of Joppa; one son, Andy Rhoades and wife Rachel of Grand Chain; grandchildren, Kellie Rhoades of Grand Chain, Caden and Jase Adkins of Joppa; two step granddaughters, Laura Vaughn and husband Raymond of Metropolis and Emily English of Joppa; three great grandchildren, Matthew and Gabby Rhoades and Noah Vaughn; two sisters, Patricia Childs and husband Bill of Knoxville, TN and Shirley Ann Rhoades; two brothers, Joe Joyner and wife Sondra and Samuel Ray Rhodes.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Spring V. Rhoades; four sisters, Joetta Henderson, Virginia Bowersmith, Artillia Denler and Loulella Bielski; four brothers, Jack Joiner and Gilford Joiner, Wilburn Lee “Buddy” Rhoades and Joe Rhodes; one nephew, Mike Stubblefield; one niece, Blair Garris.

Visitation will be held from 10 am until the memorial service at noon on Saturday, September 28th.

It is in accordance with Mr. Rhoades wishes that he be cremated and interred with his wife at Ohio Chapel Church Cemetery.
