Doris Faye Lynn

Ms. Doris Faye Lynn, age 76 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 5:15 am on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Foeller officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Doris is survived by several cousins, Bonnie Hogue (David), Bill Owens (Donna), Deborah Simmons (Tom), Evelyn Turner, Roy Owens, Geneva Cross, Betty Bolson, Wayne Brown, Renae Lothman, Lillian Kerley, Madge Gully, Beverly Doughty, Carol Dunning, Ray Pearl (Susan), Donna Jaco (John), Gary Lynn (Sharon), Lillian Parker (Jerry), Betty Wetherington; several other second cousins and all of her Independent Living Services #4 family who were so important to her.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon “Virgil” and Bertha (Dunning) Lynn; grandparents, Joseph and Ada (Smith) Lynn, George and Ivy (Davis) Dunning; aunts, Ethyl Reiman, Lena Irene Finney, Eula Lynn, Zelma Owens, Bessie Dunning, Ressie Scott, Tressie Weber, Edith Martin, Carrie Jones, Gladys Owens; uncles, Truman Lynn, Floyd Lynn, Jim Dunning, Henry Dunning.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 10 am to 11 am at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis.

Memorials may be given in Doris’ name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
