Cora Lee (Griffey) Peck

Cora Lee (Griffey) Peck, age 84 of Joppa, Illinois passed away at 11:05 am on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis with Bro. Harvey Baxter officiating. Burial will follow at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Peck worked part-time at Joppa Post Office and with her husband at Peck’s Standard Service in Joppa. She attended Oak Grove Methodist Church and was a member of the Eastern Star.

Cora Lee is survived by her daughter, Janet Peck Krueger and husband JR of Metropolis; sons, David Peck and wife Lana of Herrin, Greg Peck of Joppa; granddaughter, Lisa Krueger Holt and husband Bryan; great grandson, Jacob Ogle all of Metropolis; 4 step granddaughters; 7 step great grandchildren; sister, Sue Sandusky of Joppa; two sisters-in-law, Clara Griffey and Judi Griffey both of Joppa; several nieces and nephews.

Cora Lee was preceded in death by her parents, George and Emma (Stewart) Griffey; husband of 56 years, Roy Peck; beloved grandson, Travis Krueger; sister, Mary Shelton; brothers, George Griffey Jr., Robert “Corky” Griffey, and Charles “Moose” Griffey.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 9am to 11am at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.
