Betty J Wade

Mrs. Betty J. Wade, of Metropolis, IL, formerly of the Brookport and Unionville area, passed away on April 28, 2018 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO, at the age of 81 years. She was born on April 1, 1937 in Gibson County, TN to Lloyd and Bertie Odom who preceded her.
Graveside services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, May 3, 2018 in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Wade lived and worked in several states but settled in her beloved Metropolis in early 1971, where she lived until her passing. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly as well as her fur baby, Lucy. Betty enjoyed crossword puzzles and giving to others.

Betty is survived by her four children, Jackie (William) Stallings of Alamo, TN, Jack Adair of Metropolis, Bonnie (Johnny) Willis of Metropolis, and John (Tina) Wade of Perryville, MO; one sister, Doris Bade of Gibson, TN; one brother, Roger Odom of Humboldt, TN; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 step great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, R. L. "Bob" Wade; 4 brothers, Charles, Don, Neal and Mike Odom; 2 sisters, Agnes and Sandra Kay Odom.

Visitation will be held at the Miller-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis on Thursday, May 3rd from 1 to 1:45 pm.
