Aline Pansing

Ms. Aline Pansing, 94, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at her daughter's residence in Waterloo,ILFuneral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at St. John's Church on Waldo Church Road in Metropolis. Pastor David Krueger will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Aline was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a lifelong and active member of St. John's Church. Aline was a homemaker and worked for a time at the Good Luck Glove Factory. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and needlework. So many lives were brightened with her kindness. So many hearts remember her with love.Aline is survived by her daughter, Linda Schaller of Waterloo, IL; step-son, Merle Pansing and wife Mary of Metropolis; step-daughter, Ann Schneider and husband Danny of Metropolis; grandchildren, Mary Schaller Blaufuss and husband Kurt, Stephen Schaller and wife Maureen, Paul Schaller, Rachel Otten and husband Steve, Lori Harris and husband Nathan, Lynn Goines and husband Jason, Deneal Bullock and husband Jeff; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Rebecca, and Lucas Blaufuss, Stephanie Schaller, Emily, Eli, Katherine, and Jacob Otten, Eli and Ella Harris, Ethan and Emma Goines, Krista Clayton, and Kortney Kennedy and husband Colby; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Anna (Brugger) Hohman; her first husband, Wilson Horman; her second husband, William Pansing; and her sister, Elmarita Koch.Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at St. John's Church from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.
