Mrs. Agnes Marie Rose, age 80, of El Paso, IL, formerly of Metropolis, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at her residence.
Funeral services will be 1 pm on Friday February 15, 2019 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis, IL. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery.
Agnes attended Assembly of God Church in El Paso, IL.
Agnes is survived by two children, Tammy Smith and husband Paul of Lebannon, MO, and Donald Rose and wife Cheryl of El Paso, IL; five grandchildren, Joseph Buchanan, Tabitha Brownlee, David Smith, Angelica Campbell, and Philip Smith; 10 great grandchildren; three brothers, Jesse Ray Averitt and John Paul Averitt both of Metropolis and Thomas Averitt; two sisters, Mary Lucille (Elry) Faulkner and Carol Sue (Neal) Watkins both of Vienna, IL; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley S. Norton; mother and step-father, Mary Elizabeth (Abner) and William B. Averitt Sr.; husband, Donald Wayne Rose; two daughters, Theresa Scheiber and Joyce Marie Brownlee; two grandsons, Luke Anthony Brownlee and Floyd Allen Brownlee; four brothers, Stanley Norton, Albert Norton, William B. Averitt Jr., and Gary Lee Averitt; two sisters, Eva Mae Ensor and Katrina Lea.
Visitation will be held from 11 am to the funeral hour at 1 pm on Friday, February 15th at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
