Constance "Connie" (Astin) East

Constance “Connie” (Astin) East, 87 of Karnak, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Steve Heisner officiating. Burial will follow in the Anderson Cemetery at Boaz, IL.

Connie worked at Triple T in Karnak and attended Karnak Methodist Church.

Connie is survived by her husband of 50 years, Earl “Sug” East; children, Tracy Joyner (Sandy), Judy Runkle, Mary Burgess (Gary), and Dwayne Joyner (Ashlee); 10 grandchildren, Adam Joyner, Ashley Doctorman, Kendra Joyner, Trevor Wilson, Randy Burgess, Marsha Mathis, Jeremiah Burgess, Danielle Burgess, Dustin Joyner, and Mia Joyner; 14 great grandchildren; one brother, Gary Wayne Astin (Janis); several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Helen Mae (Bunker) Astin; two sisters, Lela Harrell and Sue Stubblefield.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home from 11am to 1 pm

Memorial contributions may be given in Connie’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Joyner, Randy Burgess, Adam Joyner, Trevor Wilson, Jeremiah Burgess, Ashley Doctorman, and Kendra Joyner.
