Thelma Sisk Obituary
Thelma Faughn Sisk, age 96 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 9:50 pm on Friday, September 8, 2017 at the Metropolis Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Rev. Marc Glass will officiate.
Thelma was a dedicated pianist/organist at Mt. Sterling Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Thelma was a wonderful school teacher, green thumb gardener, cook, and artist. She was a very generous person and she loved to give to others. Her humor was like none other. She was a hard-worker and she spoiled her family. We are so thankful for her many memories and her faith in Jesus. Thelma was a member of Mt. Sterling Cumberland Presbyterian Church and retired from Massac Unit 1.
Thelma is survived by her son, Randy Sisk and wife Sherri of Metropolis, IL; granddaughter, Kendra Morehead and husband Larry Jr. of Metropolis, IL; several nieces and nephews.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, M.J. and Georgia (Kickasola) Faughn; husband, Cecil Sisk; 4 brothers, Everett, Lowell, Howard, and George Faughn.
There will not be any visitation. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the services.
Memorials may be made Alzheimer's Association, Greater IL Chapter, 320 East Walnut, Suite A, Carbondale, Illinois 62901.
