Roy McWaters Obituary
Mr. Roy E. McWaters, age 74, of Sumter, SC, formerly of Metropolis, IL, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017. He was born May 10, 1943 in Hopkinsville, KY to G.C. and Margie (Tidwell) McWaters
A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4pm on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis. Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery at the Land Between the Lakes recreation area in Lyon Co., KY.
Mr. McWaters served in the US Navy from 1960 to 1965 and the Naval Reserves from 1965 to 1969.
Roy is survived by his brother, Marvin McWaters of Paramount, CA; sisters, Shelby Williams of Paducah, KY and Kathy Belt of Brookport, IL; four daughters; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis is in charge of local arrangements.
