Roger Short Obituary
Mr. Roger Dean Short, age 59 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away on Saturday morning July 1, 2017 at Massac Memorial Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 6 pm on Friday, July 7, 2017 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Bro. Penny Emery will officiate.
Roger was retired from the City of Metropolis, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator for 28 years.
Roger is survived by his father, Charlie Short; wife, Betty Jo (Cusker) Short; sons, Roger Short and wife LuCrecia, Michael Short and wife Alana; grandchildren, Alicia Inman, Jeremy McComas, Evan Short, Autumn Cofield, Alivia Cofield; sisters, Ruth Ann (Capron) Hahn, Maxine Pierce; brothers, Chuck Short and wife Robin, Ronald Capron; nieces and nephews, Joshua Short, Sierra Short, Ethan Short, Aidan Short, Raven Cohoon.
Roger was preceded in death by his mother Louetta (Lawrence) McCormick.
Visitation will be held on Friday evening July 7, 2017 from 5 pm to 6 pm at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.
