Kenneth Ray Laird, age 79, of Metropolis, Illinois passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017
Graveside services will be held at 10 A.M. Tuesday July 18, 2017 at the Masonic Cemetery with Dr. Ed Hollis officiating.
He was a member of the Metropolis Masonic Lodge 91, and also Bay City Masonic Lodge 771.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen Laird of Metropolis, IL; four children, Angela Casey and Jimmy of Metropolis, IL; Sheri Buetow and Mike of Metropolis, IL; Steve Laird and Tammy of Metropolis, IL; Beth Laird of Carterville, IL; Foster brother, Joe Hobbs and Bonnie of Bristol, TN; brother in law, Paul Holt of Elkhart, IN; sister in law, Pearl Finke of Paducah, KY; 10 grandchildren, Marissa Ferreira and Paulo of Metropolis, IL; Samantha Walker and Ray of Metropolis, IL; Timothe Weiland of Aberdeen, SD; Sierra LeBeau and Trevor of Mesa, AZ; Jordan Weiland of Mesa, AZ; Blake Herbert and Jocelyn of Metropolis, IL; Jessie Laird of Metropolis, IL; Kirklin Laird of Metropolis, IL; Matt Rongey and Sarah of Carterville, IL; Jennifer Rongey of Carterville, IL; 12 great grandchildren, Raymond Kelly Walker of Metropolis, IL; Avery, Eden, Iana, Jace, and Jaelen Weiland of Aberdeen, SD; Asher, Ira, Felix, Magnolia LeBeau of Mesa, AZ; Eli Herbert of metropolis, IL; Lilly Mae Rongey of Carterville, Il; nieces and nephews, Vicky Robinson of Elkhart, IN; David and Ronda Finke of Paducah, KY; John and Julie Finke of Paducah, KY; Daniel and Karen Finke of Metropolis, IL; Linda and Gary Yewell of Paducah, KY; Glenn and Leslie Finke of Paducah, KY; Several great Nieces and Nephews.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth M. Laird and Lillian Niemeyer, and sister Janet Holt.
Visitation will be held on Monday July 17, 2017 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Aikins Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.
Masonic Services will be held at 6:00P.M. on Monday evening as well.
